About Swan
I have always been interested in how the pieces fit together.
My work has changed shape over the years. The way I think about problems has not.
My first career was in structural engineering and project and design management — work that teaches you very quickly that a problem rarely exists in isolation.
One change affects something else. A good solution has to work as part of the whole.
That way of thinking followed me into business, systems, coaching and eventually automation and AI.
Over the years, I found myself doing the same thing again and again: standing slightly outside someone’s situation, seeing the pattern they were too close to see, simplifying it and helping them find a practical way forward.
SYSTEM8® grew from that work.
How I work
The tool changes. The purpose does not.
Sometimes the breakthrough is a question.
Sometimes it is a decision.
Sometimes it is a workflow, a system or an automation.
Today I combine coaching, consulting, systems thinking and implementation according to what the problem actually requires.
The purpose is always the same: create more clarity, more capacity and more freedom for the person and the business.
